111 Days Until Race Day

“There was a young man who, you know, wanted to make a lot of money, and so he went to this Guru, right? And he told the Guru, I wanna be on the same level that you’re on.

And so the Guru said, ‘If you want to be on the same level I’m on,
I’ll meet you tomorrow at the beach…”

--Eric Thomas (Hip Hop Preacher) in “How Bad Do You Want It?”

So, do you have a challenge or a dream that’s been calling you? Has life gotten so complicated that you feel strangled by all of the “reasons” holding you back? Here’s my deal. I’ll train you! I’ll train you to search deep for what it is that you want and fight like hell to go get it.

Why not? Over the years I’ve helped people stay on track for getting into shape, finding a job, building businesses, overcoming illness, and even flying airplanes. What do you have to lose by taking this “Hero’s Journey Challenge” alongside me?

If you’re interested, here’s the first step. Get a blank sheet of paper and stare at for a few moments. Thinking inwardly, ask yourself, what’s missing in my life? Don’t filter! Just write down short phrases that come to mind.

Now, pick the one thing you want to work on that is calling you.   Decide what major leap forward you want to make over the next 20 weeks to get on your way. Finally, summarize it in a simple sentence that starts with, “Over the next 20 weeks I will…”

As we move forward, we’ll clarify this into an action plan. But for now, just do this first step and know that many of us are working alongside you.

Memorial Day Message is this Friday.  Until then…

God Bless,

The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need. Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers. These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times - during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. At Fisher House, no family pays to stay at their facilities. Why? Because a family's love is good medicine…

Hundreds of thousands of military personnel are serving in far-off places defending the liberties we hold so dear - away from their families, friends, and the comforts of home.  In 2003, the USO discovered the changing needs of those thousands of deploying troops.  Understanding the impact that the little things can have and difference they can make, the USO launched Operation USO Care Package providing comforts of home in the form of a care package.  For as little as $25.00 you can send a care package letting a service member know that you care.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) supports military members seriously injured in combat with the recovery and reintegration process. From Health and Wellness to their "Warriors to Work" programs, WWP is focused on strengthening individuals holistically and fostering the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.
