“Perhaps one of the greatest ways to honor someone’s memory is not to stand still and do nothing… But it is to take the blessings they have given to us and carry them on to a new generation.”

Before the end of the year, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and say "thank you" for all of your donations and support for the Freedom's Light family of charities.  With the support of many of my Pfizer colleagues, Children of Fallen Patriots earned an additional $1500 donation in a Global Voluteers competition in early December.  Combined with everyone else's effort, Freedom's Light successfully raised over $5000 in 2011 and over $20,000 over the past 4 years. Please know that as a Pfizer colleague and veteran, your effort means a great deal to me personally and is deeply appreciated.

Above is a quote and short video from the September 11, 2011 Toughman competition.  The distance covered that day was a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and 13.1 mile run.  As you will see, I did not do it alone.  Many, from all walks of life, stood alongside me with the single purpose of paying tribute to those impacted 10 years ago and since.  For those who have never met me in person, you’ll see me in the last 25 seconds of the video.  “Never forget…  Climb to Glory!”

I’ll be back at it again in 2012, participating in more charity races and sending newsletters intended to inspire.  Also, I’ve grown to treasure the opportunity to now help my girls train, grow their confidence, and bring out their absolute best.

Speak to you again in 2012!  Stay inspired!!

Until then...

God Bless,
