We are now about 5 days from launching our 12 week action plans. As I write, I have no idea how many people are “on board” and will be starting their journey along with me beginning on Monday, June 6th. What I can say is that you still have time but time is running out.

 

For those on the fence, here’s something to consider. What do you have to lose? From my standpoint, you have everything to gain by doing something like this. What you may not realize is that your decision to either be “in” or to be “out” is much bigger than you. You see, just by doing something like this, you could be inspiring a young person watching to strive for something larger than they thought possible. Or perhaps, you can be giving an older person, who has the benefit of wisdom, a reason to live longer because they want to see you make good. Either way, I can tell you from personal experience that a light more powerful than you realize will shine from within as you progress. Before long, people will notice it, and you’ll proudly talk about what you did to get your spark back, so they too can be like you: Free.

 

To close (and paraphrase Mickey’s message from this video clip), if you go on this journey, know that you will not be alone. Each week, as you work hard and sometimes struggle, these little Freedom’s Light messages will be whispering in your ear. And, just when you feel like you’ve had enough and you’re going down, they’ll say, “Get up you son-of-bitch!! Because Pat Curran loves ya…”

This Week’s Training Schedule

This is my last week of the pre-season. Great news that despite some set-backs, I met all of my goals which includes reducing my body weight by 20+ pounds and being able to complete the workout plan below for 3 weeks in a row without injury. Now the fun begins: Balancing an increasingly challenging workout plan with all other goals for the 2011 season.

 

Monday: Pilates / Jog with Kids

Tuesday: Swim 5 x 400m / Bike 45 min

Wednesday: Bike 45 min / Strength Training: “The 300 Workout” (modified)

Thursday: Swim 10 x 100m / Elliptical Runner – 20 min

Friday: Bike 2 hours

Saturday:  Swim ½ mile / Bike 16 miles / Run 3.1 miles

Sunday: Pilates / Stretch / Ice
